It’s official: the days have started getting longer, brighter and warmer and everyone has started to get a bit of an appetite for summer. In the last few weeks, there seems to have bewn a mad rush to book off as much time as humanly possible during the summer months. Most of us only get a very limited number of days to revel in the glory of having absolutely nothing to do, so it’s pretty important that you spend those days well and in an incredible location. And there’s nowhere quite like St Tropez – a place that defines luxury and glamour and that embodies absolutely everything a gentleman should aspire for his summer holiday to be. So get planning, gentlemen:

Stay: Residence de la Pinede

Why: Anything owned by the LVMH group is bound to be incredible. And this out-of-this-worth hotel certainly doesn’t disappoint: newly refurbished with it’s own private beach, 3 Michelin Star restaurant and with some of the best staff in the game, Residence de la Pinede is the place to be – we can promise you that.

Eat: Le Club 55

Why: Le Club 55 is one of those places that everyone who’s ever been to St Tropez will tell you to visit at least once whole you’re there. And the moment you step inside, you’ll get it. This place is iconic: it’s had everyone from Brigitte Bardot to Kate Moss walk through its doors and the whole atmosphere, from opening to closing, is absolutely electric. Trust us, you don’t want to miss Le Club 55.

Drink: Les Caves du Roy

Why: It’s no secret that nightlife in St Tropez rivals some of the best party cities in the world, and becoming known as one of the best clubs in St Tropez is a credit that most institutions can only dream of. Not Les Caves du Roy, though: this is the place to party the night away in and has become swiftly known as the best nightclub in the whole of France. If it’s good enough for Mick Jagger, it’s good enough for you.

Do: Helicopter to Monaco

Why: Because when you’re this close to one of the most sought-after holiday destinations in the world, why wouldn’t you take the opportunity to travel like a gentleman and hop on a helicopter over to Monaco for the day – or night.

Visit: The Old Village

Why: While still retaining a massive part of the luxury and glamour that goes hand-in-hand with St Tropez as a whole, the Old Town is a step away from the expensive bars and crowds. That’s not to say that this is a quaint French village though – it’s still filled with designer shops that sit right opposite local supermarkets but there’s a certain charm about the Old Town that every gentleman needs to witness.
